About us

A Bay Area security integrator that treats every install like our own building.

Hi-Tech Security Solutions of Oakland LLC was built on a simple frustration: too many security projects get sold once, installed sloppily, and never serviced again. We do the opposite — purpose-built systems from authorized manufacturers, documented installs, SLED-focused support for small business, local government, and education institution clients, and a team that picks up the phone when something matters.

Mission statement

Protect communities, strengthen organizations, and train the future of security.

Our mission is to deliver dependable, future-ready security solutions for small businesses, local government, and education institutions while creating real training pathways through Hi-Tech University. We combine trusted technology, documented installation, responsive service, and workforce development to help the Bay Area build safer, smarter, and more prepared communities.

Our story

Built in Oakland. Wired across the Bay.

Hi-Tech Security Solutions serves commercial, multifamily, industrial, and institutional clients across Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties. Our work spans single-door retrofits to ground-up multi-site access control rollouts.

We deliberately stay close to home. Bay Area weather, Bay Area buildings, and Bay Area code inspectors all have quirks — and a same-day rolltruck from Oakland is worth more than a slick national-brand portal that ships from out of state.

Most projects start with a 30–60 minute walkthrough. We map doors, identify camera blind spots, audit existing panels, and leave you with a quote you can read. No vendor lock-in pressure — if it's not the right job for us, we'll say so.

How we work

The four-step process behind every install.

Whether it's eight doors or eighty, the steps are the same. The depth changes; the discipline doesn't.

Site walkthrough

We meet onsite (or remote for multi-site), photograph each opening and camera zone, audit existing panels, and identify the actual problems you want solved.

Design & quote

You get a written scope with model numbers, riser diagram, software platform, credential strategy, and a fixed-price install with optional service plan.

Install & commission

Pre-wired, labeled, tested. Every credential is enrolled, every camera framed, every audit trail validated before we leave the property.

Service & support

Optional RMR plans cover monitoring, firmware updates, credential admin, and 24/7 emergency response. No mystery service calls; flat-rate or included.

Hi-Tech University

A training program built to lead the future of security.

Hi-Tech University is a program we are implementing within Hi-Tech Security Solutions of Oakland LLC to create real training opportunities inside the security industry. The goal is simple: build a pipeline of skilled, ethical, field-ready professionals who understand both the technology and the responsibility that comes with protecting people, property, and operations.

The program is designed around hands-on learning, manufacturer-backed standards, safety, documentation, and customer communication. Participants learn how modern security systems work in the real world, from the first walkthrough to the final handoff.

Learn the trade

Structured training in access control, surveillance, electronic locks, RFID asset tracking, intrusion systems, software platforms, and service documentation.

Practice in the field

Real-world exposure to site walks, wiring standards, device placement, commissioning, troubleshooting, and professional customer handoff.

Build leadership

Training that emphasizes safety, accountability, clear communication, ethics, code awareness, and the confidence to lead future security projects.

Create opportunity

A pathway for new technicians and motivated learners to grow into installers, service leads, designers, and security-industry professionals.

What we believe

Security is documentation as much as it is hardware.

Cameras nobody can pull footage from. Panels with the wrong default code printed on the door. Card readers whose master credentials walked out with the last facilities manager. The gear isn't the problem — the handoff is. Every Hi-Tech install ships with documented logins, labeled riser diagrams, recovery procedures, and a named human you can call.

  • Manufacturer-authorized. Every install is on equipment we're trained and warrantied to service.
  • SLED-focused. We support small businesses, local government teams, and education institutions with practical, accountable security programs.
  • Documented handoff. Riser, BOM, credentials, recovery — written down, not in someone's head.
  • Bay Area code-aware. Familiar with Oakland, SF, and East Bay inspector expectations.
  • Vendor-neutral within reason. We default to Napco because they're best-in-class — but we'll service what you already own.
When our old alarm communicator died during the AT&T copper sunset, Hi-Tech swapped in a StarLink dual-SIM the same week and migrated us to Napco's MVP cloud for access. Zero downtime on a Friday afternoon.

The first walkthrough is free, the quote is plain English, and the install date is firm.
